Pied-à-Terre Flat is a cute & cheerful furnished one-bedroom apartment.
Pied-à-Terre Flat is located in the quiet and tree-lined neighbourhood of High Park, one block
from Keele Subway Station. For maps and transportation information please click here. The flat has high ceilings, hardwood floors, a private deck, a treed garden, a cozy living room with flat-screen television, stereo system, laser printer, and desk; a bright eat-in kitchen; a bedroom with lots of storage space; and on-site laundry.
The flat is well-equipped. The bedroom has a queen-size Posturepedic mattress, large wardrobe with hanging space and drawers, and a closet. The kitchen is equipped with cooking pots & pans, cooking utensils, dishware, a microwave, a stove with four burners and an oven, a large fridge, a drip coffee machine, a stovetop Bialetti espressomaker, a blender, a kettle, and a toaster. (For the bakers out there there is also a handheld mixer and baking trays.) The flat is supplied with linens, duvets, enough towels for 2 people, an iron and an ironing board, a hair dryer, and a clothes drying rack for air-drying laundry. The apartment also has a vacuum cleaner, an umbrella, a beanbag laptop pillow for inveterate computerphiles, two telephones, and a DVD player.
We've tried to make the apartment as welcoming as possible by imagining what we would want in a furnished apartment. The flat has spare lightbulbs to make changing bulbs less of a stress-inducing experience, there is a small collection of reading books, wireless internet, cable television, a local telephone line, a black & white laser printer/scanner/fax, and private parking.
The flat is strictly non-smoking and we regret that we are unable to accommodate smokers. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises, including the outdoor decks. We regret that we are also unable to welcome pets due to allergy concerns.
Please note that this apartment spans two floors, and so would not be suitable for a person with mobility constraints.
You will share the laundry room with two other people who enter via a separate entrance. The washing machine is a coin machine, & the dryer is free.
The flat is located in an exceptionally green and beautiful neighbourhood in Toronto's West End known as High Park and is only a block from the park. The neighbourhood is characterized by its tranquility, walkability, and easy access to every amenity. Read more here.

Little Note on Utilities: Rent includes unlimited water & hot water, and reasonable use of electricity. Reasonable use simply means not turning the heat on High then opening all the windows... We simply ask that you use the electricity as reasonably as you would at home.
(Why don't we include unlimited electricity? It encourages responsible energy use - which is not only good for the environment but also allows us to offer the apartment at a competitive price.)
